You could say “Gone Country” was formed in December of 2022, and technically, you’d be right. However, if you want to learn the true origin story of this Richmond, VA based, “Neotraditional Country” band, you’ll have to go back in time to the early-2000’s.  Now, you may not be aware of this, but that’s when the Mainstream tried to kill Country Music. You see, they thought no one would notice if they started replacing steel guitars and fiddles with snap beats and auto tuned vocals... But they were wrong.
