Big Fancy:
Big Fancy is a breath of fresh air in the groove pop scene, crafting music that's as irresistible as their distinctive cherry logo suggests. Their tunes are a unique blend, drawing deep from the wells of soul, jazz, and the infectious grooves of funk, creating a sound that's both nostalgic and boldly new. Influences range from the raw emotion of classic soul to the innovative beats of contemporary artists, allowing them to traverse musical landscapes with ease. This eclectic mix not only fuels their creativity but ensures their music remains fresh, with each track offering a new flavor while staying true to the Big Fancy vibe. At the heart of their sound is a celebration of diversity and a continuous exploration of the musical spectrum, making every Big Fancy experience an invitation to discover the unexpected.
Big Red and The Cowboy Killers:
Big Red and The Cowboy Killers hails from Richmond, Virginia and brings a storm of psychedelic rock. They bring a mix of powerful lead vocals, thundering-rock, jazz, and R&B to the forecast with the possibility of choice covers. Keeping it spacey and smooth in the high register is the powerful dual lead guitar combo of Will Taylor and Vincent Steenburgh. On the bass, you will find Aaron Wright keeping things groovy. And on the drum kit, you will find no other than the legendary Mook.
Hazelgrove:
Hazelgrove began in Richmond, Va and has transformed from its origins in synth heavy hip hop into a blend of r&b, indie rock, and psychedelia. Artists such as Frank Ocean, Toro y Moi, and Omar Apollo have inspired the artist heavily over the past few years. Hazelgrove’s mission is to combine the organic and the digital together to create a futuristic sound that still breathes. Hazelgrove was voted into the top five Richmond artists of 2024 in the pop category in RVA Magazine and has played live synth for other prominent Virginia artists such as Tommy Richman and Boris the Lucid. Performing in their own band, the artist was recently featured in River City Roll’s 804 Fest and will be hitting the stage for the next one on March 21st. Their next single is set to arrive March 22nd with production and guitar from their closest collaborator, Richmond artist and guitarist, CAS.
Pharaoh Sistare:
Pharaoh Sistare grew up in Richmond, Virginia, surrounded by influences that would directly impact his sound. You can feel the power of the greats like Michael Jackson, Prince, and James Brown in his vintage laced songs, but his love of Golden Age movies and dancers like Fred Astaire and Bob Fosse brings another dimension to his music and style. Sistare took to music production fast, but after spending his time creating beats for other artists, he stepped into his own path. The stellar production on his songs instantly hooks you. While you can quickly sense the nostalgic inspiration, there's so much going on in each track. His music transports you to a specific place and time, whether that's a beach party in the 60s, a disco dance floor, or an enchanted forest.
